How do I import payroll data to date?

The option to import your payroll data into QuickBooks is unavailable. What we can do is to enter them through the prior payroll process or enter them using a journal entry. On the other hand, you can check out our QuickBooks App Store to look for a third-party application to utilize for importing payroll data.

If you have already run payroll in QuickBooks, the option to perform the prior payroll process is no longer available. I suggest you reach out to our Technical Support Team. Our phone representatives have tools that allow you to pull up your account in a secure environment. This way, we can further check this matter and provide solutions immediately.

Here’s how to get in touch with them:

1. Go to the (?) Help icon in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
2. Select the Search tab, and click Contact Us.
3. Enter a brief discussion of your concern and click Continue.
4. Select either Chat with us (if you preferred messaging) or Give us a call.

Thanks - I couldn't explain the question with limited characters, but you answered it anyway.  I didn't do the YTD payroll step (long story there) and find I have to start all over again.  The payroll wizard does not allow me to start again, and that was my question.  I will call support tomorrow and see if they can do something on the backend.  I may even have to unsubscribe from payroll and re-subscribe.  Ugh.

Yes, I noticed that in the first response.  But, getting the employees, tax liabilities, tax expenses and the unmatched checks that are sitting out there in the wind to marry up with everything else is just too daunting.  I wouldn't know where to begin.  I'm going to talk w/support tomorrow and see if they can reset the whole thing on their end.  Thank you!
