1. Go to the File menu and choose Switch to Single-user Mode.
2. Head to the File menu again, select Back up Company, and then Create Local Backup.
3. In the window, click Local Backup and then Next.
4. In the Local Backup Only section, select Browse and pick where you want to save your backup company file. In this step, ensure you have inserted your flash drive into your computer.
5. (Optional) Set the number of backups you want to keep.
6. A test will run to check the integrity of your backup file before saving.
7. When you're ready, click OK.
8. Hit Save it now and then Next.

Does your accountant have QB Desktop Accountant 2023 or 2024?

We used 2022 QBPro.  I have my info on a flash drive.  How do I migrate it to QB Online?

1. Open QBDT.
2. Navigate to the File menu, then Open or Restore Company.
3. Restore the file based on its type:

• Windows company file (.qbw)
  1. Click on Open a company file, then select Next.
  2. Open the appropriate folder, then pick the company file.
  3. Click Open, then input the password.
• Windows backup file (.qbb)
• Windows portable file (.qbm)
• Mac company file (.dmg or .qbxxx)

You can use the trial version of QBD 2024 to open your file and convert it to QBO.
