How do I record a personal credit card transaction in Quickbooks
Hi!
I have made some purchases for my new busines with my personal credit card. I do not want to link this credit card in quick books (I will be applying for a business CC but for now this is the way I am required to do it). How do I record these transactions in QB without linking the card? I have tried uploading the receipts but I keep getting an error ("You need to select a different type of account for this transaction"). Should this be input as a "Journal Entry"? If so, when I input the information I also get an error (Balance Debits and Credits) - Help!

Thanks for the reply. I tried your solution but am still being met with error messages. I have attached three screen shots - would you be able to take a quick look to see if I'm getting one of your steps wrong?
