How do I switch the bank account that is used to pay for my QuickBooks account?

Hello ppmlsarasota, I'd like to provide you with instructions on how to switch the deposit bank account for QuickBooks. Let's work together to accomplish this goal.

In QuickBooks Online, it is not recommended to mix your business and personal expenses. The accounts you connect should be for business purposes only to avoid confusion when tracking your business's income and expenses.

To change it to your new business account, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Account and Settings.
  2. Click the Payments tab. In the Deposits section, select Change Bank.
  3. Click Add new bank account.
  4. Enter the account and routing number of the bank account you want to change and select Save.
  5. Locate the new bank account from the list and click Verify.
  6. Enter the two small amounts we have deposited to the new bank account. Then, review the bank details and finish the request.

Once done, QuickBooks will put customer payments from online invoices and other sources into the new account. For detailed instructions, refer to this article: Change the deposit bank account for QuickBooks Payments.

Also, if you still have transactions that you need to record with your personal funds, you can see this article: Pay for business expenses with personal funds.

Additionally, I've included an article to guide you through updating your addresses, bank account, and other business information for QuickBooks Payments to ensure your account remains current. Update business and account info for QuickBooks Payments.

I'm still all ears if you have additional questions about managing your bank account or any concerns with QuickBooks. Just comment below, and I'll get back to you.
