How do I upload older transactions from my bank to QuickBooks

Thanks for coming by, @dreambirdhomes-g.

I'll guide you through how you can upload bank transactions manually. Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your bank or credit card's website.
  2. Follow your bank's instructions for how to download CSV files of your transactions to your computer. Every financial institution has different steps.
  3. Check the date range for the download. It should be at least one day before the date of your oldest transaction.
  4. Download your transactions. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it, like your computer's desktop.
  5. In QuickBooks Online, go to the Banking menu. Then, tap the Banking tab.
  6. Look for the account you want to upload the transactions into.
  7. Select the Link account ▼ dropdown and then Upload from file.
  8. Follow the rest of the steps as prompted.
  9. When you're ready, click Let's go.

Refer to this article for more information about the process: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

After downloading, you may want to proceed with categorizing your transactions and reconcile them. This ensures your books are accurate and there aren't any duplicate transactions.

Please leave a comment anytime below if you have other questions or concerns with bank transactions. I'll be around for you. Take care and have a great day ahead.

Another option, utilize MT Online as a workaround. It is designed to import into any bank or credit card in QuickBooks Online, so there is no specific setting needed.
