How to manually input a credit transaction from a credit card

Hello there, @msarahvon.

Thank you for posting here in the Community. I'm here to help with manually entering credit card transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

QuickBooks Online offers the ability to manually enter transactions, including those associated with a credit card. Here's how:

  1. Select the Plus icon.
  2. Click Expense.
  3. Choose the credit card account in the Bank/Credit account drop-down.
  4. Enter the additional information about the transaction.
  5. Click Save

You can also check out this article as your reference to manually upload transactions in QuickBooks Online: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

For information on entering transactions into the register, I recommend the following article: How to Add or Edit Transactions in a Register (or Account History).

In addition, I've included some resources that you can browse to help categorize and review your online banking transactions in QuickBooks:

Moreover, I'll also share this article that can serve as your reference if you want to learn how to match your bank and credit card statements in QBO: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

How to manually input a credit transaction from a credit card

I started doing that....do I do a new entry for each line of the statement (or charge) or do I keep adding lines?
