How to record a downloaded transaction bank feed that has a credit card payment and vice versa in Quickbooks Desktop Pro?

I downloaded the transactions from my bank (QBO) file that has payments to my business credit card. I would like to know how to record them in Quickbooks desktop pro (i looked up online & there are instructions on how to do it for Quickbooks online). Similarly i downloaded (QBO) file from my credit card & imported them to Quickbooks Desktop. It has similar credit transactions. I need to know how to record them.

I'm here to make sure you'll be able to change the transaction type, @stsd.

Let me provide you a steps on how to do it:

  1. Go to Banking menu then select Bank feeds.
  2. On the Bank Feeds Center select your bank account.
  3. Click  Transaction list, click on Added/Approved to view register.
  4. Double click the transaction that has CHK type.
  5. On the Bank Account drop down, select the account to transfer.

Hey there, @stsd. You're in the right place.

You can record them as a transfer from your Checking account to your Credit Card account. Just use the Transfer option on your Bank Feeds screen. Once you've marked it as a transfer, you can then match the other transaction from the other Bank Feed to the transfer you just created.
