How to turn off bank feed

Thanks for visiting the Community today, goldlyne.

Let me help and guide you on how to turn off the bank feeds. I’ll make sure the process is a breeze for you.

When you disconnect the online banking connection, it stops QuickBooks from downloading new transactions. Performing this task won’t change your existing data. Also, you can reconnect the account any time to start downloading entries again.

Before we proceed, make sure to add and match all the pending transactions on the Banking page. Please note that disconnecting the automatic online banking updates will delete any transactions in the For Review tab. Once you’re ready, follow the steps below to disconnect the account.

  1. Go to the Transactions menu on the left panel and select the Banking option.
  2. This will open a page that lists all accounts connected to the bank feeds.
  3. Under the Banking tab, click the drop-down and select the bank or credit card you’re working on.
  4. Click the Pencil icon and tap the Edit account info link to display the Account window.olb disc.png
  5. From there, navigate to the Connected to section and tick the box for Disconnect this account on save.olb disc.1.png
  6. Press the Save and Close button to keep the changes.

For more details, you can read this article: Disconnect or delete accounts connected to online banking. It contains tips on when to remove or unlink an account.

When you decide to link your bank or credit card again, let me share this resource to help you accomplish this task: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online. From there, you’ll learn how to categorize downloaded entries and update the connection.

Reach out to me again for any other online banking concerns. I’ll get back to help and make sure this is taken care of for you. Have a great rest of the day.
