How to upload credit card receipts into Desktop for Mac

Does anyone know how to scan receipts into Quickbooks for Mac?  I just want to scan a receipt and associate it with a credit card transaction.  Support from Quickbooks corporate is terrible.  Chat is terrible and there is no phone number to call to talk to a human.

This is definitely not the experience that we want you to have when reaching out for support, jaydubya.

Let me make it up to you by helping with your question about uploading receipts in QuickBooks for Mac,

You can take a photo or use a scanner to scan the receipt. Then, save it on your computer so you can attach it to the credit card transaction. Here's how:

  1. Open the credit card transaction in your company file.
  2. Click the Paper clip icon in the upper-right hand corner of the transaction.
  3. Select the plus + icon.
  4. Select iPhone, Take Photo, or Scan Documents
  5. Follow the succeeding prompts to attach the receipt to the credit card transaction.

Let me give you these articles for more details about this feature:

Thank you for your response!   I really appreciate it and that helps.  Is there a way to scan a stack of receipts at once and then create a transaction from the receipt?

How to upload credit card receipts into Desktop for Mac

Hi there, jaydubya. Thanks for following up with the Community.

I'm happy to hear JenoP was able to help with your inquiry about uploading receipts.

I can certainly understand how an ability to scan multiple receipts at once and create transactions from them could be useful and have submitted a suggestion about it as of today.

You can also submit your own feature requests while using QuickBooks.

Here's how:

  1. In your top menu bar, go to Help, Send Feedback Online, then Product Suggestion....
  2. Choose a Type of Feedback and Product Area (optional) from the available drop-down menus.
  3. Enter any suggestions/feedback in your Here is my suggestion: field.
  4. If you'd like, include your name/email in the My name is: (optional) and My e-mail address is: (optional) fields.
  5. Select Send Feedback.

Your feedback's definitely valuable to Intuit. It will be reviewed by our Product Development team and considered in future updates. You can find recent news about your product by reviewing Intuit's Product Updates webpage.

As a workaround, you can scan or browse for a file to attach once the transaction's been created.

Please feel welcome to send a reply if there's any additional questions. Have a fantastic day!
