Hw do I import my desktop transactions into my QB online

I'd be glad to share with you the series of steps on how to move your data from QuickBooks Desktop to QBO, justinejagoda-ic.

First, Make sure QuickBooks is up-to-date. If you're using an outdated or a non-supported version of QuickBooks,  you'll need to use a trial version to convert your file.

Second, check if your company file isn’t too big to export. This is to make sure that you will not receive any error during the export process.

Third, begin the process of exporting your data. Here's how:

1. Log in to the company file as the admin.
2. Go to the Company menu, then select Export Company File to QuickBooks Online.
3. Select Start your export.
4. Sign in as an admin to your QuickBooks Online company.
5. If you track inventory in QuickBooks Desktop:
   • Select Yes to bring them over, then specify the as of date.
   • Select No if you want to set up new items later in QuickBooks Online.

   Note: Only QuickBooks Online Plus and Advanced can track inventory. Both plans use the FIFO method.

6. Click the drop-down list for Choose online company▼, then select the QuickBooks Online company you want to be replaced by your company file.
7. Select Continue.
8. Enter “Agree” in the text field, then select Replace.
9. Select Yes, go ahead and replace the data, then select Replace.
