If you did a backup right before you hit the undo button, you can restore the backup. Otherwise, you will have to redo the bank rec over again.

Why is there no Redo function?  The Undo function (Ctrl+Z) is something I often do without thinking MANY times in Microsoft Office applications, and find myself doing this in QB and it drives me bonkers, because in QB it does something very different.  It reverts everything you typed, which is accomplished by the Revert function so I'm unsure why Undo (Ctrl+Z) needs to be so aggressive.  Even if it should remain overly ambitious, a Redo function would be a lifesaver!  ...Or to have the option to disable Ctrl+Z in QB.  Something.  Anything.  PLEASE.

Greetings, jennweed1.

As of the moment, many of the keyboard commands you might use in other programs won't work the same way in QuickBooks. I want to let you know that we're taking note of your feedback and suggestions to improve the experience we're providing.

You can undo transactions by clicking either the Clear or Revert buttons in QuickBooks. Press the Clear button to delete any information you added in a new transaction that you haven't yet saved in one of the customer, employee or vendor centers. Or click Revert to undo all changes made since the previous save.

I also recommend creating a  backup copy before creating any changes, so you have an option to restore the file and avoid any accidental data loss.

Additionally, you can check the following article for keyboard shortcuts while working in your account: QuickBooks Desktop keyboard shortcuts.

Thanks for dropping by. Please know that I'm just a few clicks away if you have any other questions about QuickBooks. I'll be happy to help you out. Have a great day ahead.

This is ridiculous.  In most programs, using CTRL-Z undoes the last keystroke or last word typed or something like that.  I used CTRL-Z to remove a typo without thinking and instead removed 20 minutes of typing a description in an estimate I was working on.
