I'd like to be notified by email whenever a transaction is entered. How do I make this happen?

We practice transparency in my organization, so I'd like to be able to publish all transactions to a central place and think the easiest way to do this may be to receive email notifications whenever a transaction occurs. Is there a way for QuickBooks to notify people regarding any activity?

Allow me to step in and share an easy way on how to be notified by email in every transaction by turning on the Email a copy option in QuickBooks Online. Here's how: 

 

  1. Click the gear icon.
  2. Select Account and Settings.
  3. Choose Sales.
  4. Hit Messages and click the pencil icon to edit.
  5. Put a checkmark for Email me a copy.
  6. Click Save.
     

You'll be able to notify if you sent an email to your customer or vendor's sales form. Then, all these activities will show in the Audit Log. Here's how:
 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account
  2. Go to Reports.
  3. Look for the Audit Log and run the report.
     

You can also send sales forms or reports to many email addresses to make your task easy and efficient. Check out this resource for more info: Email sales form or reports to multiple email address.

Even I am also looking for any such solution . Whether my team make invoice, enter purchase, make any changes , should be notified via an alert on primary device .

 

that would do ton of good for us .

Currently, the ability to have an email notification when performing a task in QBO is unavailable. You may want to consider using the third-party application suggested by Fiat. On the other hand, you can also head to our QuickBooks Apps store to look for an app that will provide you with the options you need. 

 

To request the addition of this feature, I recommend submitting feedback to our product developer. This way, they can review the details of your request. Let me guide you on how:

 

  1. In your QBO company, navigate to the Gear icon and select Feedback.
  2. Next, enter your comments or product suggestions. 
  3. Then, select Next to submit feedback. 

 

Once submitted, you can visit our QuickBooks Online Feature Requests website to track your request.
