I have 2 Bank deposits that show up on my bank statement but do not on my Online QuickBooks leger

Hi there, 0614.

Thank you for reaching out regarding the issue of two bank deposits not being uploaded to your QuickBooks Online account. I can see that this situation can be frustrating, but I'll do my best to explain the possible reasons for this discrepancy and guide you on manually uploading them.

There are several reasons why deposits may not have been automatically uploaded to QuickBooks Online. Here are a few possibilities to consider:

  1. Delayed Bank Feeds: Sometimes, there can be a delay in the bank feeds syncing with QuickBooks Online. It's possible that the deposits were made after the last sync, causing them to not appear in the system.
  2. Connection Issues: Another possibility is a temporary issue with the connection between your bank and QuickBooks Online. In such cases, you can click the Update tab in the bank feed to refresh the connection of your bank transactions.
  3. Incorrect Bank Account Selection: Ensure you have selected the correct bank account in QuickBooks Online to match the account where the deposits were made. Double-check that it is the same account as shown on your bank statement.
  4. Date Range: It's important to ensure that the date range for the transaction view is wide enough to include the dates when the deposits were made. Sometimes, transactions are missed simply because they fall outside the selected date range.

To manually upload the missing deposits and complete your bank reconciliation, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Go to the "Transactions" tab in the left-hand menu and select Bank Transactions.
  3. Choose the appropriate bank account.
  4. Click the drop-down under Link account and select Upload from file.
  5. Please select the file and upload it manually.
  6. Enter the missing deposit transactions manually. Provide the date, amount, payee, and any other relevant details.
  7. Save the transactions.

By manually entering the missing deposits, you can reconcile your bank statement accurately. Make sure to cross-check the information on your bank statement and ensure that it matches the data you enter in QuickBooks Online.

Additionally, here's an article on how to customize reports in QuickBooks Online, which will allow you to monitor all aspects of your business more effectively: Customize reports in QuickBooks Online.

Please don't hesitate to reach out again if you need further help. I'm here to support you and ensure your safety. Have a great day!

You can use MT Online or one of the converter tools (e.g csv2qbo @ $60 one time license) as a workaround.
