I have a HUM by Verizon in my car, which tracks trips as well as vehicle health. I exported my trip data into a csv file. Can I import this file into Quickbooks?

It’s nice to see you in the Community, jlorrainewaite.

Yes, you can import the CSV file into QBSE. To successfully bring the data, make sure to use the 3-column or 4-column format.

If an incorrectly formatted file is uploaded, the option will gray out or you’ll receive an error. For more details, see the following guide: Format CSV files in Excel to get bank transactions into QuickBooks.

When you’re ready, let’s go ahead and import your transactions. With just a few clicks, you can accomplish this task.

Here’s how:

  1. In your QBSE company, tap the Gear icon in the upper-right and choose Imports.qbse import.1.png
  2. Tap the Import transactions link to open the How to import screen.qbse import.png
  3. From there, follow the onscreen steps to upload the CSV file.qbse import.2.png
  4. Click Import.

For additional resources, these resources will guide you on how to classify entries and manually enter them in QBSE.

Feel free to leave a comment if you have any clarifications or questions. I’m more than happy to answer them for you. Have a great rest of the day.

I'm sorry, I might have been unclear as to my problem. I want to import my mileage trips, from HUM by Verizon, to Quickbooks' miles record. My banking information is fine, in Transactions. I see that there is a way to import trips from Google trips and MileIQ trips, but not HUM.

Thank you for your help

Hello there, jlorrainewaite.

Thanks for adding more details about your concern. I’ll point you in the direction of how to track the miles from HUM to your company.

The option to import mileage from HUM to QBSE is currently unavailable. Alternatively, let’s manually add the transaction to the program.

Here’s how:

  1. In your QBSE company, tap the Miles menu on the left panel and click Add trip.
  2. This will open a line where you can input the miles.
  3. From there, fill in the boxes with the correct information.miles.png
  4. Once done, press the Save button.

The newly added miles are now recorded in QBSE. miles.1.pngFor more insights into this process, check out this article. It includes instructions on how to edit or delete an existing trip: Manually track mileage in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Additionally, this link provides an overview on how to use the QuickBooks Self-Employed mobile app to automatically track your business miles: Automatically track mileage.

Feel free to reply to this thread if you need a hand when working in QBSE. I'm always here to assist further. Have a great rest of the day.
