Hi there, paseofarmersmark.

Thanks for visiting the Community today. Allow me to help you start fresh in reconciling your account.

Before proceeding, let me share some information about why you’re seeing the Resume Reconciling button. This will show once you’ve entered any information in the field boxes and closed the Reconciliation page without saving it. You can either continue performing the reconciliation process or select the Close without saving option to show the Start reconciling button.

I can help show the steps to show the Start reconciling button. We’ll have to go to the Reconciliation page to accomplish the task.

  1. Hit the Accounting menu on the left panel to choose Reconcile.
  2. On the Reconciliation page, select the account you're working on and then press the Resume reconciling menu.

  3. On the Reconciliation page, click the drop-down for Save for later and choose Close without saving.

  4. Then, press Close without menu saving to confirm the action.

The Start reconciling button will now show when you open the Reconcile an account page. Resume reconciling.3.png

If you want to continue reconciling the account, check out the Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online article. It contains a video tutorial for visual reference and complete steps about the reconciliation process.

Additionally, these links will guide you through the process of how to resolve beginning balances and reconciliation issues.

Stay in touch if you need help performing reconciling the account. I’m more than happy to assist further. Enjoy the rest of the day.
