Hi there, lrmwilliams.

We recognize the importance of having easy access to your bank transactions. Please know bank transactions are in the Transactions tab inside QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE). Details displayed in your Dashboard are a summarization of all the sections in your business. If you wish to get a hold of your transactions, we'll gladly write down the steps to get you going:

  1. Access your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. On the left navigational bar, go to the Transactions tab.
  3. Review the transactions listed.

In addition, here's an article to help you secure a copy of your business reports: Export transactions and get reports in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Feel free to comment below if you need assistance handling bank transactions inside QuickBooks. We'll make sure to respond as soon as possible. Keep safe.

This did not answer my question, as I don't see a left navigation bar.  See attached screen shot.

I have some details about this, Williams.

There are only two scenarios that I can think of when I saw the screenshot you provided above. If you're using QuickBooks Solopreneur, the interface should be like this:
solopreneur.PNG

QBSP is most likely designed for one person and most closely related to QuickBooks Self-Employed.

On the other hand, if you're using QBSE, this should appear like this:

If you're unable to see the left navigation bar, let's perform some troubleshooting steps to fix the issue.

Sometimes, this happens because of browser-related issues. We can perform some troubleshooting steps to fix the problem. Use the shortcut keys below to access a private window (incognito):

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P

When using incognito mode, this deletes cookies and browser history leaving your browser clean and easy to access any websites and error-free. Once done, double-check if you can already see the menu. If so, go back to the main browser to clear its cache and delete some outdated files that might be the cause of the error. Otherwise, use a supported, up-to-date browser.

However, if it is still not working, you'll want to contact our support team to check with them why this is happening and investigate further.

Furthermore, QuickBooks downloads the latest transactions and suggests categories for these based on how you categorized similar transactions. At the same time learn how QuickBooks puts your transactions on the correct line of your Schedule C. I've added these articles for more details:
