RE: This software does not help if your vendor name is different from the payee name on the check.
Do you mean our software, from my other posts? If so, it does help. It gets the Print As name and includes it in the Positive Pay files it writes.

Well, at least part of the issue is that there is no standard. Our BRC PositivePay file Creator - QB Desktop product supports over 150 banks, and they're formats are almost all different. There are two or three banks that use the the same format in that long list of banks.
Also, many of the banks require very specific layouts and have detailed rules for what text characters can and can't be included in the file for the payee, memo, and other fields.
