I wrote a check last month. It cleared the bank. I reconciled my account. This month the bank credited my account as the check was never actually deposited. How do I account for this without messing up my previous reconciliation?

I wrote a check last month. It cleared the bank. I reconciled my account. This month the bank credited my account as the check was never actually deposited. How do I account for this without messing up my previous reconciliation? The bank statement shows the cleared check so I can't simply void or delete the check. Any help is appreciated! BTW, I'm using QB for Mac 2019.

Just create a deposit for the amount of the check and assign the same account to the deposit that was assigned to the mistakenly deposited check.  Then, clear the deposit the next time you reconcile your bank statement.
