Import data from another account

Hello there, @userlioudsy.

You'll have to download your data from the other QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account, then manually import it to the new one. This way, you can have all the necessary information you need to effectively manage your business. I can guide you on how.

Before you start downloading, please know that receipts aren't exported. You can download them from specific transactions or specific tax years from the Reports menu. Whenever you're ready, here's how:

  1. Go to the Transactions menu.
  2. Use the TypeAccount, and Time period drop-downs to sort the transactions.
  3. Select the Export icon.

You can refer to the screenshot below for your reference.

After that, import the file (CSV) to your other QBSE account. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Profile/Gear icon.
  2. Select Imports.
  3. Find the account, then select Import transactions.
  4. Follow the onscreen steps to upload the CSV file.
  5. Select Import.

Additionally, you'll have to categorize your transactions so QuickBooks puts them on the correct line of your Schedule C form. Then, you're able to organize your income and expenses accordingly. You can check out this article for the detailed steps: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Please don't hesitate to leave a comment below if you need further assistance in importing your QBSE data. I'm just around to help. Take care always.
