You may need to update your sign-in credentials or account information with Novo Bank, @userashley1. That's why you get an error message while connecting your account in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Let me share further details about this.
You'll have to establish a simultaneous connection between your financial institution and the QBO system. With this, you'll have to sign in to Novo Bank's website. This is to check your account page for messages or alerts that need your attention. Once you make changes on the website (i.e. login credentials and account info), you'll have to update QuickBooks as well. Here's how:
I've attached a screenshot below that shows the first four steps.
Once connected and all your recent transactions are downloaded, you'll have to review and/or match them to the existing entries in QuickBooks. This is to keep your account updated. For the step-by-step guide, kindly refer to this article: Categorize online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.
Additionally, I'd recommend reconciling your bank account every month. This is to monitor your expenses and detect errors accordingly. To learn more about this, you can refer to this article: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online. It also includes information about editing completed reconciliations.
Also, I want to make sure I've got everything covered. In case you've received a specific bank error (i.e., Error 103 or 105), you can refer to this article's Step 4 for the detailed fix: What to do if you get a bank error or can't download transactions in QuickBooks Online.
Let me know how it goes in the comments below. If you have other banking concerns in QBO, I'm just around to help. Take care always.
