Is there a way to either delete or edit the bank account in batches or faster than one by one? I use QBO and imported a lot of sales receipts into the wrong bank account.

Hi there, Linda.

We currently don't have a way to change the bank information by batch. On another note, I can help you get this sorted out.

If the transactions are manually imported using CSV files, we'll undo the transactions. Then, delete them for you to import the sales receipts again. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Banking page.
  2. Under the For Review tab, select all transactions.
  3. Click on Batch actions.
  4. Select Exclude Selected.
  5. Go to the Excluded tab.
  6. Select all transactions and click on Batch actions.
  7. Select Delete.

To manually import the transactions:

  1. From the Banking page, select the bank account by clicking on the bank choices.
  2. Click on File upload.
  3. Choose the file.
  4. Continue the instruction to import the CSV file.
  5. Click on Import.

If the transactions were downloaded from the bank, we'll have to update the bank information one at a time.

  1. From the Banking page, select the bank account and click on Edit sign-in info
  2. Edit the information.
  3. Click on Save and connect.

Let us know if you have other questions.

@linda-sartspot

Unfortunately, batch deleting or edit sales forms in QBO is not available yet.

You will need to delete one by one. But my preferred time-saving way to delete (or void) if I have a whole bunch of sales receipts is this way in QBO —this from the left Sales tab.

From the Sales tab, select "All Sales" and select Filter "Sales Receipts" type only. Under Action column, select delete. It would not open the transaction, it will just delete the transaction, I think it should be faster than other option.

In QBO, only from the Banking tab that you posted to QuickBooks register can be excluded and then deleted in a batch action.

Hope this helps!

they were uploaded from an app "greenback" so if they could be deleted I could easily reimport

Welcome back, Linda.

Vpcontroller is correct. We currently don't have a way to delete batch transactons in QuickBooks Online.

You can delete them one at a time if they were already posted in your bank (bank account for greenback). Here's how:

  1. Go to Chart of Accounts.
  2. Select the bank account.
  3. Look for the sales receipts.
  4. Click on Delete.
  5. Select Yes.

Once they are deleted, you can go ahead and reimport them.
