Thank you! I spent needless hours with QBO constantly re-entering my username and password proving to them I was doing all that I was told to do. If they would have provided this suggestion it would have saved me time and frustration!
Is there an update as to how to connect a Hungtington Bank Commercial Bank Account to Quickbooks Online? It is not working for us.
Hello there, @kucar_1228.
You can follow the steps shared by ConwayTwitty on how to connect your Hungtington Bank to QuickBooks Online. However, if you already followed the steps and unable to connect, I'd suggest contacting our Customer Support Team. They have the extra tools that can help conduct a thorough investigation to come up with a fix.
To contact them, here's how:
You can also read through this article for the detailed steps: Connect and add bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online.
In the meantime, you can follow manually upload your transactions into your account until this will be resolved.
Leave me a comment below if you have further questions, I'm here to help. Keep safe!
Can you upload a picture showing where you found the Financial Management Tools Access? I can't seem to find it anywhere.
I'm here to guide you on where you can find the banking option you need, @maxwellmarsh.
The Financial Management Tools Access isn't an option in QuickBooks Online (QBO). You'll have to log into your bank's website (Huntington Business Checking Account) to access and turn on the feature. Follow the steps shared by ConwayTwitty above to complete the initial connection process.
Then, connect your Huntington Business Checking account to QBO by following the step-by-step guide in this article: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online.
Once connected, your most recent transactions will automatically download. All you have to do is review and match them to the existing entries in QuickBooks. This way, you can keep your financial data updated. To do this, please refer to this article: Categorize online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.
In keeping with this, I'd recommend reconciling your Huntington Business Checking account every month. This helps you monitor your business's income/expenses and detect errors accordingly. For the detailed steps, check out this article: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.
Please keep me posted on how it goes. Let me know in the comments if you have other banking concerns and questions about managing transactions in QBO. I'm always around to help. Take care and stay safe always, @maxwellmarsh.
This might work in a "Business" account, but I've not seen this in my "Commercial" account when I log into my Huntington online banking account. So, this doesn't help any of us.
I'll make sure that you can connect your Commercial Huntington account in no time, @Clare17.
The tabs or menus for Huntington Business and Commercial Checking Accounts differ slightly. That's why you're unable to see the Financial Management Tools Access in the Profile section.
With this, I'd recommend contacting Huntington support. They can help you turn on the Financial Management Tools Access so you can connect your online banking to QuickBooks Online in no time. Let me show you how:
In addition, you can ask for their support if your account allows for connection to Intuit's third-party application. This way, we can ensure that you can connect your online banking to QuickBooks.
Once confirmed, you can click the article provided by Rea_M above about how to connect a bank account to QuickBooks Online.

It is 2022.... and yes, I am a QB user who is still unable to connect to Huntington Online Banking. I connect, but I can't download any of my transactions. When I do, it crashes QB. Is there anyone out there that can help solve this issue? I am behind and need to resolve this....
Thanks for joining us here, @Desperado2.
I'll share some information about Huntington Bank. We have a similar case reported about unable to download transactions from Huntington Bank. Rest assured, out engineers are working diligently to get this resolved.
As a workaround, you'll want to download your bank transactions manually. Refer to this guide for the detailed steps: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Also, to ensure you'll get an update about the resolution status, I recommend contacting our Customer Care Support. This way, they will add your company to the list of affected users.

Utilize the trial version of MT Online to isolate the issue. It is designed to import into any bank or credit card in QuickBooks Online, so there is no specific setting needed. If the same error persists, there is an ongoing problem at your bank or connection.

Thank you!
If you're having this problem...stop right here and use this fix!
Once signed in at Huntington, currently the PROFILE menu is at the top right of the screen.

I was connected initially then I got caught in this endless loop today, almost a week after I set it up. Get the code, enter it, then it was telling me to log in at the bank and respond to a message...which was NEVER there to respond to.
I appreciate the help. QB is NEVER any help at customer service. It's a bunch of run around in circles!
I had a new client that kept getting disconnected from Huntington Bank. He was VERY unhappy.... I let him know to go into his settings and update it. Fingers crossed this solves the issue! Thanks for posting :)
An update on Huntington Commercial accounts - I called their customer service today and the representative informed me that commercial accounts are not able to utilize third party access to accounting softwares. If this is something you would like, you need to have a retail/business account.
This solution doesn't work. This stinks. How do I get it to connect? Tech support has offered no solutions. I have just wasted my time telling them the same thing over and over
