I was told we had to change the Chase Bank Feed by September, so we set up with the "New Chase Bank" feed. Now, when we open the Bank Feeds, instead of asking for a password, it automatically links to Chase. But it won't actually download the transactions until you click on the "Download Transactions" button. They took away "Update all for this Bank" option, so you have to refresh each account separately.
Once you refresh everything, and match your transactions, if you select a different account, then go back to the first one, the transactions will be there again, and you have to "Ignore" them to make them go away and not create duplicate entries. If you switch back and forth between accounts, the feed will download two or three times. In the last few weeks, I have ignored twice as many transactions as I added.
How do I get the Chase Bank feed to only download once so I don't have to ignore hundreds of transactions over and over again??
Let's get your bank feeds back and running in your QuickBooks Desktop, Admin-Superstar.
To start, let's ensure that QuickBooks is updated to its latest release since it can help fix issues within the company file. Then, run Quick Fix my program to run a quick repair on your program. Let me show you how:
If you still have the same problem, it may be due to damaged components. Just follow the steps and details in this article to fix the problem: Fix data damage on your QuickBooks Desktop company file.
Then, look into your transactions if bank feeds are downloading as expected. Then, click the Refresh icon a couple of times to update the connection between your bank and QuickBooks. I'll show you how.
For your visual reference, I've attached a screenshot below:
If the issue persists, we can import the transactions you need into QuickBooks Desktop. Here's how:
Then, contact our support team since they have the tools to check your account in a safe environment and investigate what's causing this issue. I am having the exact same issues you described using QB Desktop Pro 2020. It is taking such a long time to do bank feeds now. Did any of the suggestions work for you?
Thanks for sharing the same concern, @Login. We didn't see this coming your way too.
The steps shared by my peer should fix the issue. I'd recommend following the suggested resolution.
Should the issue persists, I'd suggest contacting our Customer Care team to help you check what's causing this to happen, and guide you on the next steps. They can also request to investigate the issue whenever necessary.
Here's how:
Keep in touch if you have additional concerns with your bank feeds. I'll be here to guide you some more.
After a lot of back and forth with Customer Care explaining the situation over and over and over again, they finally told me that it's a known issue and that Technical Support is working on it. So I guess we just keep ignoring the duplicate transactions until they decide they are going to fix it.
Neither of the responses on this thread from the QB team are helpful and they don't actually address the issue.
I am having the same "duplicate transaction" issue with QB 2020, 2021, and 2022; I was holding off 2023 conversions until they resolved the issue.....tick-tock.
Does the "advanced mode" provide any relief? I've never really cared for it and don't use it.
Godspeed on this fix.
Frustrated in LA.
