Let me share some insights about the running balance in your bank register.
There are possible reasons why its not showing the running balance. First, check if some of the columns especially the running balance have been added. Just click the Gear icon and make sure to put a check mark for Running Balance.
Also, It's possible that the transaction are not sorted by Date or by Status. For example, if you sort the transactions by REF NO., PAYEE, ,MEMO, PAYMENT, or DEPOSIT. This will change the chronological order of the transactions. To fix this, you just need to click either the date column or the status column to show the running balance. Here's a sample screenshot:

To begin with, may I ask for a screenshot of what you're seeing on your screen? Any additional information will be highly appreciated.
In the meantime, I suggest performing a basic troubleshooting to determine if this is a browser-related issue. We can do this by logging in to your QuickBooks Online account using a private browser, as it ignores any history and data.
Use these shortcut keys on your keyboard to access incognito mode:
If this works, I suggest clearing the browser's cache so the system can start fresh. If you get the same result, I recommend switching to a different supported browser.
Alternatively, I recommend checking your screen size. We can do this by pressing the Ctrl minus - on your keyboard or Ctrl and then scrolling your scroll wheel to zoom out your screen.
