Our Sync with Square app has stopped syncing - last auto sync was on 1/10/21. How can we initiate syncing again?

Let's find out why the sync with Square has stopped working, maiablack.

 

Usually, you'll receive an email once Square paused the download. You can check with Square for updates about the connection. Then, change your settings in QuickBooks when needed.

 

Let me show you how:

 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks online company, then select My Apps.
  2. Choose Settings under Sync with Square.
  3. Click Edit next to Basic Settings to change the default bank and expense accounts or the payment method.
  4. Select Edit next to Defaults for Unmatched Items to update your income account and sales tax code.
  5. Click Save changes.

After you save your changes, all future transactions will use your new settings. And, old transactions won't use the new settings.
