I just connected to our PayPal account. I'm an admin in QBO and I used an admin login for the PayPal account. It seemed to connect fine. The account shows in Banking. But the balance is not importing. I only see a ?. It shows 498 "In Quickbooks".
But, above the transactions, I'm seeing an error:
Thanks for sharing the exact error you've received, DotNetCoderDFW.
I'm here to help you update your PayPal account balance in QuickBooks Online.
The "Bank balance" is the balance we retrieve from PayPal. This may be delayed by a couple of hours from what you actually see on PayPal.
The "In QuickBooks balance" is the balance of the General Ledger (GL) account in QuickBooks. It consists of transactions you have added to the account in QuickBooks. When you first connect to PayPal, this may show as zero because your transactions are still in the "For Review" tab and have not yet been added to the GL account register.
Here's an article for more details: Connect to PayPal.
If the PayPal balance won't update after few days, please contact our Support Team and provide your PayPal transaction ID. We need to check further into the account to see why it's not updating and look if there are any disruptions on the connection between the two apps (QBO and PayPal).
You can get our phone number in this link: How and when can I contact Support?
