Prior month deposit summary report - QuickBooks Desktop

I need to print a prior month deposit summary report to reconcile the statement. We received a bulk deposit and the deposit is split out. All I need is the summary report that shows how much the deposit was for that day.

If you don't have the ability to see prior month's bank reconciliations (which I no longer have), go to reports > Banking > Deposit Details, select the date you are looking for. This report will not give you a total, but you can export it to excel and sort to get your total.  OR you can run a P&L (reports > company & financials > profit & loss standard), select the period you are looking for and be sure to change to "CASH". this will give only PAID invoices for that period and will also give you a total.

I might have to export out into excel, I need the daily deposit totals. I'm wondering if I can create a report that just gives me that information without doing this on a monthly basis.

We can pull up and customize the Deposit Detail report, @MrsCrawdaddy.

We'll be able to see your previous deposits this way.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Select the Banking tab.
  3. Choose the Deposit Detail report.
  4. Click Customize Report.
  5. Select the columns you'd like to add to the report from the Display tab
  6. Click the Filter tab to choose the customers and date you'd like to see.
  7. Once done, click on OK.
