For the last 2 weeks I am unable to download transactions from Visa to QB Desktop. Seems like it no longer accepts QBO type files. I was told by my bank that QB did an update 2 weeks ago that effects this but can find no further information. I have downloaded and updated my QB desktop with no change. I called my 24/7 subscription based help number and they are closed. Great service I'm paying for. Help.
I called my 24/7 subscription based help number
Which number?
Thank you for responding.
The number I was told to use when I signed up for the service was [Removed]. They seem to be closed on Sunday.
I appreciate you for updating QuickBooks Desktop to isolate the issue, Ron.
I understand how challenging this must be for you. I'm here to help sort this out.
QuickBooks Desktop still lets you download a .qbo file. With that, let's manually refresh the connection between your bank and QuickBooks. Here's how:
If the same issue persists, let's import the entries manually. To do so, you may follow the steps below:

What do you mean by Refresh Button?
For the record Chase Visa says this is all due to an update QB did 2 weeks ago. Just wanted to mention that.
I appreciate you for getting back to this thread, @Ron1956.
I acknowledge you have a concern regarding the Refresh Button in QuickBooks Desktop and how it affects your Chase Visa account. Allow me to chime in and share insights about this matter.
In QuickBooks Desktop, the refresh button is used to update the information displayed on the screen. It is commonly used in the banking section to refresh the list of transactions or to update the account balances. By clicking the refresh button, QuickBooks will retrieve the latest data from your bank or financial institution and display it in the software. This ensures that you have the most up-to-date information available for your banking transactions.
Please see screenshot below:
Upon checking our records, there is no indication of QuickBooks implementing an update specifically for Chase Visa. Nevertheless, I suggest contacting our QuickBooks Desktop support, as they are equipped with the tools and knowledge to assist you in resolving any compatibility issues that may be contributing to the problem.

Hmm. I have nothing in the way of a screen that looks like that. I am using QB Desktop in Classic mode.
I got you, @Ron1956. I appreciate you sharing that you're in a classic mode. This will help me identify the cause of why the Refresh button isn't showing on your end. Don't worry, I'm here to show you the way so you download your banking transactions under the Bank Feeds in QuickBooks Desktop.
When you are in classic mode, this function utilizes the account register to either add new transactions or match existing ones. Aliases are used to match names precisely and to create aliases at your discretion.
To address your concern, we can access the Preferences to modify your mode, which will result in a change in the banking interface to match the appearance shown in the screenshot above.
Here's how:
Once done, you can go to the Bank Feeds Center and update your banking transaction by clicking the Refresh button, as instructed by my colleagues above.
You can also use this article to create bank rules that will allow you to have automatic categorization of your banking transactions. Are you interested? See this for your guide: Set up bank rules in QuickBooks Desktop.
