Quickbooks keeps directing me to PNC bank when I try to log in to Account view. How am I suppose to connect to Account view?

I can see that PNC chose to do a work around and forced me to set up a different account to my online banking portal to make it easier (instead of upgrading their technology).   The work around is called account view.  After going through the whole process on PNC's end, I try to link my new business card on Quickbooks.  linking up an account through Account View (aka PNC's frugal work around) and it is an option on quickbooks to select Account View.  However the log in for account view is not being accepted but it is accepting the PNC online banking log in.  this tells me that Quickbooks code needs to be updated and needs to point to the actual Account view log in and not the PNC online banking log in.  Who in quickbooks is listening and can get this bug fixed!!! I hate working with companies that cannot keep up with technology.  I can't wait for AI to take over these inept organizations.

Quickbooks keeps directing me to PNC bank when I try to log in to Account view. How am I suppose to connect to Account view?

Thank you for reaching out to the Community, asm212.

Sometimes, QuickBooks may not work properly because of the issues with your browser. We can help you by logging into your QBO account using a private browser.

To do this, follow these steps:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If you can successfully log in using a private browser, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache.

Also, here's an article for you to check and learn what to do if you see error messages or don't see recent downloaded bank transactions: What to do if you get a bank error or can't download transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Quickbooks keeps directing me to PNC bank when I try to log in to Account view. How am I suppose to connect to Account view?

so i followed your instructions.

1.  I opened quickbooks in incongnito

2.  logged in to quickbooks

3. tried to connect to PNC account view (hopefully with my account view log in)

4.  FAIL - i got the same error, it will not allow me to log in to account view, directs me to pnc online banking.

I would like to reiterate, i think this is a coding errror that quickbooks needs to adjust asap.  I am bringing this bug to your attention, and writing about it a second time.

if you would like to reply with more links and more instructions, go for it, but i'm sure this will be the same error.

when i call your help hot line i get disconnected.  surprisingly this is the most efficient way to get help on quickbooks.  i use efficient loosely, because 24 hours and i still haven't resolved a simple problem.

Quickbooks keeps directing me to PNC bank when I try to log in to Account view. How am I suppose to connect to Account view?

Also I was just disconneted a 4th time from quickbooks.  how many times should i allow quickbooks to keep disconnecting me before being frustrated? what is the acceptable amount to quickbooks customer service?  for me the second time was enough hence why I started this thread.  but this thread is directed me back to the customer service number.

i would like to bill intuit for my consulting services.  I solved your problem, i realize intuit has been saving money by using cheaper less qualified customer service support, since I have been acting as internal consulting, solvng all my own problems figuring out the solutions, i feel as though you should compensate me for the 4.5 hours i have spent today.  let me know where I should send me invoice.

Hello,

I'm running into the same issue with a client trying to connect her PNC business credit card. It sounds like the link needs to be updated in the Bank Connections database held by QBO. Can you help me resolve this issue?

Quickbooks keeps directing me to PNC bank when I try to log in to Account view. How am I suppose to connect to Account view?

Hello there,

I completely understand the urgency of the matter and I'm here to assist you. Let's work together to link your bank account with QuickBooks Online (QBO) and ensure a seamless connection.

The issue you're facing could be due to a problem on your bank's end. It's possible that PNC Bank is undergoing maintenance or facing server-related issues, which can interfere with the integration into QuickBooks.

To rule out this possibility, we can log in to their website and check for any messages, notifications, or alerts. This should give us an idea if something is not working from their end.

If everything looks fine, let's perform some troubleshooting steps. Start by connecting your account using a private or incognito window. Sometimes, the accumulated cache and cookies in the system can become outdated or corrupted, causing unexpected behaviors. Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

I understand that you have followed the steps provided by my colleague @asm212, but unfortunately the issue you are facing still persists. In this case, I suggest that you contact our technical support team for further assistance. While I'm aware that you have already reached out to them, please note that they have the necessary tools to safely and securely look into this issue and provide you with the best resolution possible.
