Red Spell Check line

Hi there, jeannek1.

I want to officially welcome you here in the Community space. I can share some insights as to why you’re getting the red spell check line under words that are spelled correctly.

Since QuickBooks doesn’t have a built-in spell check feature, this can be caused by a change in the language preference settings of your browser. You may follow the steps below to verify.

For Chrome:
1.    Go to the Menu icon.
2.    Choose Settings.
3.    Click on the Hamburger icon to show the rest of the menu.
4.    Select Languages.
5.    Click on the drop-down arrow under the Language section.
6.    Choose English (United States).
7.    For the Spell check, click the drop-down arrow and select English (United States).

For Internet Explorer:
1.    Open Internet Explorer.
2.    Click Tools.
3.    Click Internet Options.
4.    Select Languages, under the General tab.
5.    Click Add.
6.    Select the language you’d like to add.
7.    Click OK.

For Firefox:
1.    Open the browser settings.
2.    Click Content tab.
3.    Under the Languages heading, choose your preferred language.

For Safari:
1.    Go to System Preferences.
2.    Select Language & Region.
3.    Click Preferred Language and select the language you’d like.

Once you got the right setting, make sure to log out of QuickBooks and log back in. This will allow the system to load the settings you set up.

That’s it. Please reach out to me if you need anything else. I’ll be around to help. Enjoy your day!
