Switching Suntrust bank feed to Truist

Hi,

Suntrust finally switched over to Truist this past weekend. I need to restablish a link for my bank feed. I am running Quickbooks Desktop 2020 pro. I have gone into Set Up Bank Feed from the account i want to reconnect. I find Truist Digital Treasury in the ban, then click on go to the websites log in. The new Truist page comes up, but then i get a message saying your browser is no longer supported. I can not go any further. Is there something different i should be doing?

Regretfully, your Bank Feed may not work with Truist.  QB/Intuit is WAY WAY BEHIND as they still use Internet Explorer and most financial institutions have or will soon stop supporting it.

One fix might be to make sure you have all the Updates (but no guarantee...)

Go to Help > UPDATE Quickbooks (not upGRADE) > Update Now Tab and....

Next to the Get Update Now button, click the Reset Update and then click on the Get Update button.  This may take a few minutes.

Depending if you've been keeping up with the updates, QBs may or may not ask you to Restart QBs or even Restart Windows.  If it doesn't ask, I'd at lease Close QBs and then Open QBs again.  Then see what happens.

If this doesn't work, I'd touch base with Truist and confirm that there are issues with QBs.  There is also a chance that there is something wrong in your Acct setup that is not allowing QBs to log in.

And the final option is to ask them if they have an option to download QB compatible files.  Pending the file you can sometime just double click on it after you download or go to File > Import.  But the Bank's support people should be able to walk you through the process for their type of file.

I am having this problem as well.  Suntrust/Truist was no help.  They said it was a QB "third party" issue...The inputing of transactions work flawlessly until the Suntrust to Truist system update over the holiday weekend.  Very poor!!

I appreciate you for sharing an update with us, @knapiks.

BB&T online is now called Truist. Thus it's not included in the list of supported banks in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

You can search for Truist bank and connect it with your QBDT. I'll show you how.

  1. Go to the Banking menu and select Bank Feeds.
  2. Select Set up Bank Feeds for an account.
  3. In the Enter your Bank's name field, enter, and select Truist bank.
  4. Then enroll in your bank.

You can also see this resource for the complete process: Set up bank accounts for Bank Feeds in QuickBooks Desktop.

Once you're all set, you might want to check out these articles on how to categorize your transactions and match your accounts:

I'm all ears whenever you need help connecting your bank in QBDT. Please feel free to lay out the details in your reply and I'll take care of them for you. Have a great week ahead!

I've done all this a dozen times.  It will import about 10% of the transactions.
