Delete memorized transaction from reminders page

I have a memorized transaction on my reminders list that was out of date.  I went to the memorized transaction page and deleted it.  However, it is still showing up on my reminders page.  Now I can't complete it because I deleted it.  How do I get rid of it from the reminders?

Delete memorized transaction from reminders page

Hi there rtully-gustafson,

Thank you for reaching out to us!

Transactions appear in the Reminders page if they were marked to send or print later. Since the memorized transaction has already been deleted, we'll need to remove it from the send/print queue.

Here's how:

  1. Go back to the Reminders page.
  2. Double-click the transaction.
  3. Uncheck the Email Later or Print Later box.
  4. Click Save and Close.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Delete memorized transaction from reminders page

Hi Diane, thank you for the response.  The memorized transaction was to create a check.  When I double-click on it on the reminders page, it brings me to the memorized transaction list, which no longer contains this transaction as an option.  I never actually created the check for me to uncheck the email/print later box.  Is there another way that I can do this?  Thanks, Rebecca

Delete memorized transaction from reminders page

I have the same problem. I have deleted some transactions (write check, journal entry, etc) from my Memorized Transactions list, but they still appear in my Reminders list.

When I double-click on the item in my Reminders list, I'm taken to my Memorized Transactions list where, of course, the transaction no longer exists because it was deleted. Any thoughts on how to remove the item from my Reminders list???

I also have reminders for transactions that have been deleted and already entered. I have tried various ways to get rid of the reminders, but they won't go away. Nothing you've mentioned above helps.

I'm not able to remove from print/send queue as the memorized transaction is no longer there. I followed instructions for resetting update, but this did not work either. What else can I do?

Delete memorized transaction from reminders page

I have a similar problem and have don the above update but that did not fix it.  I have a memorized transaction reminder for a journal entry that has been deleted but keeps popping up as a reminder.  I have tried accepting the transaction to get rid of it but when it tries to post I see this: "The memorized transaction named "..." is invalid and cannot be recorded."  Any thoughts on how to fix this error?

Hello there @por ,

I have the trouble shooting steps for your concern and let's get this working for you.

Let's check the name, sales tax options and debits and credits on the transaction and verify if the information is correct:

1. Click on List, then Memorized Transaction List.
2. Double click on the memorized transaction to open the transaction window.
3. Verify the following:
         -The name on the transaction.
-The transaction is in balance and the sales tax is correct.
-If the transaction is an invoice or estimate, ensure the box titled To Be Emailed is unchecked.
 4. Test the transaction by clicking Save & Close to validate that the error is resolved and completes successfully.

If the error persists after completing the above steps, delete the transaction that is causing the error and replace it with a newly created memorized transaction. You can also refer to this article with instructions on how to do it: <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://support.quickbooks.intuit.com/support/pages/inproducthelp/Core/QB2K12/ContentPackage/Core/Tra...>

Let's try those couple things, and let me know how it goes.

Delete memorized transaction from reminders page

Hello Diane
I think you're missing the problem. We can't edit or delete the memorized transaction from the memorized transaction list because it has already been deleted from there. BUT, the transaction(s) was previously sent to the cue to be entered. The only option QB allows is to either select the transaction to be entered or skipped. I can't right click and go back to the transaction; my version doesn't allow it, but even it if did I'd have the same problem as @por since the transaction is no longer in the memorized transactions list. The only solution I see is to enter each one and then delete it. This will be very time consuming. We left the automated entry function on over the summer and have over 200 invoices in the cue that need to be deleted. We've already deleted or edited the transactions from the memorized list, but need to remove them from the cue.
We sincerely appreciate your help.

Not sure if you figured this out or not yet. I had the same problem. I went in and created a fake transaction for the same vendor for $1, and saved it as a memorized transaction. I then exited the quickbooks file and then opened it back up to trigger the memorized transactions pop up. Then I hit enter all. I then deleted the transaction from the 'enter bills' screen, and then deleted the memorized transaction from the list itself and voila, problem was solved. I hope this helps.

I am having this same issue with 2 memorized transactions.  I had one memorized transaction selected for Auto entry.  Then I deleted and when that didn't work created a fake transaction, was notified it was a duplicate transaction and did I want to replace it.  I selected yes hoping that would give me something to work with.  Now I have 2 transactions that pop up as a reminder every time I log on and I can't get rid of them.

Doing the update, then closing and reopening QuickBooks did get rid of the unwanted items in "memorized transactions due" folder for me - Thank you!
