Trying to resolve the fee on a Venmo transaction in the app, but it doesn’t work , anyone else have this issue?

Making sure that fees are applied correctly in each Venmo transaction is essential to avoid over- or underpayment in your real-life bank and QuickBooks records, @TheArtfulTinkerLLC. On top of that, I appreciate your effort in trying to resolve the fee error first in the application before posting on the Community.

With that in mind, aside from the string error in red, I'd like to know more details about the fee you are trying to resolve and the specific troubleshooting you have performed so far. Gaining information about this will give us the full knowledge on how we can help you resolve this, and know where to start.

If you are done signing in and out of your account in the app, offloading it (iOS) or refreshing data (Android), and making sure that the application is updated, and the issue persists. I recommend contacting the Merchant Services support team to review your payment account regarding the fee process if the payment method is Venmo.

They can also determine if the issue originated within our software or from the Venmo system and provide you with the fix for it. Here's how:

  1. In your QuickBooks app, go to the Menu tab.
  2. Choose the All option above.
  3. Scroll down to the bottom and select Help.
  4. Follow the on-screen steps.

If logging in your QuickBooks account in the browser will allow Venmo transaction fee works fine, then you can utilize it for now.

Being able to fix issues with the fee of your Venmo transaction is impactful, especially when you generate a report about the money in and out of your business. That is why, if you have additional questions about this, feel free to return here anytime.
