If you want to delete a duplicate bank transaction in QuickBooks Online (QBO), let me show you how:

1. Go to the Gear icon, then select Chart of accounts.
2. Locate the bank in question, then select View register.
3. Find the duplicate transaction and click it to open.
4. Select Delete, and click Yes to confirm the process.

If you want to delete a bank account in QBO, we are unable to completely delete it at this time. QuickBooks ensures that the bank information can still be restored if you need it for future transactions. This is why it will only give you the option to inactivate it.

To delete the account successfully, you may need to make it inactive:

1. Go to the Gear icon, then choose Chart of accounts.
2. Find the account you want to delete.
3. Select the drop-down beside the View register, then select Make inactive.

Once everything's good, you can start reconciling your accounts to keep your records correct.
