How do I link my Venmo Business account to QBO? Only my personal account shows up when I try to link my account.

Venmo uses one email for both personal and business accounts, but I don't know why that would be a problem here. Only my personal account shows up, not my business account.

How do I link my Venmo Business account to QBO? Only my personal account shows up when I try to link my account.

I can help you with connecting your Venmo Business account to QuickBooks Online (QBO), @brilsky.

I've searched Venmo on the Connect an account page from the Banking menu, and also got one result. I believe this is the Venmo Personal account you're referring to.

To make sure your Venmo Business account is available to link with QBO, I'd recommend logging into your business account's webpage. Then from there, copy the web address or URL and use it to search the appropriate account through the Connect an account page.

In case you're still unable to find and/or search your Venmo Business account, I encourage you to select the Still can't find your bank? link. This is to submit a request to connect your business account to QBO's online banking feature. Please see the link for your reference.

If you wish to learn more about the process above, you can refer to this article: Find your bank or credit card account when you connect to online banking.

While you wait for the connection, you'll have the option to manually upload your Venmo Business account transactions to QBO. This way, you can keep it updated and monitor them accordingly. You can refer to this article for the steps: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online

Also, I encourage you to reconcile your accounts every month. Doing so will let you manage your income, expenses, and detect any possible errors. For the step-by-step guide, you can refer to this article: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

Please don't hesitate to comment below if you have other banking concerns or inquiries about connecting your online accounts in QBO. I'll be sure to get back to you. Take care always.

I'm happy to see you here in the Community, @LindaJ16.

You've got me here to help you select the right payment method for Venmo in QuickBooks Online.

Selecting a payment method when receiving payments in QuickBooks Online will depend on the nature of the transaction. You can choose among Visa, MasterCard, Discover, AMEX, ACH and more.

If you want to classify the payments that was sent through Venmo, you can add it as a new payment method in QuickBooks Online. Know that this change is not retroactive and will only apply to future payments received.

To do that:

  1. Select the Gear icon, then All Lists.
  2. Click on Payment Method, then choose New.
  3. Enter a name for the payment method. Select This is a credit card if necessary. If the This is a Credit Card checkbox is unchecked, that payment method is not going to be processed with Merchant Services. This is often used when you need to record a credit card payment without submitting the card for electronic processing.
  4. Click Save.

After that, when you receive payments, you can now select Venmo. Please see screenshot attached for your reference:
