Let's check why QuickBooks connects the wrong account, fisherwoman12.

Did you disconnect the account before? If so, there's a possibility that the bank's website has changed its URL or name.

Please know that a financial institution can have multiple bank names. You need to choose the one they release for connection to QuickBooks Online (QBO). Check out this link for additional information: Find your bank or credit card account when you connect to online banking.

Also, QBO is a third-party software, the information the system receives is all dependent on what your financial institution shares with us. You can verify this with your bank to ensure you're connecting to the correct checking account.

Once everything looks good, you can set up online banking.

What would cause QBO to connect to the wrong bank after it has worked perfect for the last three years?

Hello,

1.  This bank account has been connected to QBO for the last three years.  Online banking is already set up and has been working properly with this account and all of our other accounts until 3 days ago.  The other accounts are all updating correctly, it is only the one bank that is not.  When we click on the "fix it" button, it brings up the screen to input our username & password, but the bank it brings up IS NOT our bank.

2.  No, we did not disconnect this account.  Our bank has not changed its URL or name.  It is the same bank we have been using all along.  Now when QBO goes to update, QBO tries to connect to another bank in another state!  We are trying to find out why that is happening.
