Where do I look for the two deposits QBO made to verify the account?

I am setting up payroll and QBO said I needed to verify the bank account by them depositing a small amount in two transactions. Where do I find these two deposits so that I may finish setting up payroll online

Where do I look for the two deposits QBO made to verify the account?

Hi there, @sark9handlr.

I hope you're enjoying the day so far. I'm here to make sure you can verify the amount so you can begin using the payroll service in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Normally, a test transaction will post to your payroll bank account within 2-3 banking days. Once it's posted, you can verify the amount either by checking your bank statement online or by contacting your bank. On your bank statement, the charge will display as QuickBooks: Verify Bank or Intuit: Verify Bank.

After you see the cleared test transaction in your bank statement, you can proceed to verify your bank account via the Payroll menu or through the Payroll Settings. Here's how:

  1. On the left pane, go to the Payroll menu.
  2. From your To Do List, select Let's Go on Check your account for a small deposit, then verify.
  3. Choose Verify your account.
  4. Enter and confirm the test transaction's amount from your bank account.

If you haven't seen the New payroll tasks button, here's another way to verify the test transaction:

  1. From the Gear icon, select Payroll Settings.
  2. Choose Company under Bank Accounts.
  3. Select Verify Account, then enter and confirm the amount.

Moreover, you can check out the steps outlined in this article to complete your payroll setup tasks: Get started with QuickBooks Online Payroll.

In addition to this, you can also pull up a variety of payroll reports in QuickBooks. This will give you a closer look at your employee's total wages, deductions, and tax information in a certain period. For the complete list of available payroll reports and how to pull them up, kindly refer to this article: Run payroll reports.

I'd love to get updates on how this goes. You're always welcome to leave a comment below if you have any other questions about managing your payroll transactions. Stay safe!
