Reconciliation

I have entered a transfer for money moved from a savings account to a checking account at the same bank.  The transfer is not showing when I try to reconcile the savings account.  Can anyone help?

Reconciliation

It's great to see you in the Community, BG40. I'm here to help you reconcile your savings account in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

Before we begin reconciliation, we need to check the transfer transaction in your register. It needs to be in the right account, have the correct date, and not yet reconciled. To do this, here's how:

  1. Go to the Company menu.
  2. Select Chart of Accounts.
  3. Find your savings account and double-click it to open its list of transactions.
  4. Locate and review the transfer you've entered.

Once everything is in order, return to the reconciliation page and ensure that the date you're using matches your most recent bank statement.

If the transfer occurred after the reconciliation date, it may not appear unless you uncheck the Hide transactions after the statement’s end date option.

Afterward, reconcile your savings account.

Additionally, I've included this article to guide you anytime you need help doing or fixing a reconciliation in QBDT: The reconcile workflow in QuickBooks.

Please keep me posted if you have any additional banking concerns or questions about reconciling accounts in QBDT. I'll be right here to help you out.
