Soloprenuer anyone having issues with the auto categorizing the transactions and rules wrong?

This week all my transactions are coded as sales. Every week I have to update. Next week it may categorize the next 5 transactions as meals

Soloprenuer anyone having issues with the auto categorizing the transactions and rules wrong?

Hi, Mark. One possible reason your transactions are being miscategorized is that your rules in QuickBooks Solopreneur may be overlapping with each other. When that happens, the system gets confused and places the transaction in the wrong category. To fix this, delete the old rules and create a new one. That way, the system only has one rule to follow, and your transactions will be categorized correctly.

Go to Transactions > Rules > Edit > Delete. Deleting the rules won't affect your previous transactions. Once deleted, you can create a new rule right away, and it will apply to your next transactions.

You can also check this article for more information on categorizing transactions: Categorize bank transactions in QuickBooks Solopreneur.
