Hi, Mark. One possible reason your transactions are being miscategorized is that your rules in QuickBooks Solopreneur may be overlapping with each other. When that happens, the system gets confused and places the transaction in the wrong category. To fix this, delete the old rules and create a new one. That way, the system only has one rule to follow, and your transactions will be categorized correctly.
Go to Transactions > Rules > Edit > Delete. Deleting the rules won't affect your previous transactions. Once deleted, you can create a new rule right away, and it will apply to your next transactions.
