Buy nowMy bank account balance and QB balance are not matching up. When I try to reconcile, I get the "Your account isn't ready to reconcile yet" message. When I pull up the reconcile report and compare it with my bank statement, I see some withdrawals and deposits don't show up in the reconcile report. I'm thinking I might have selected the wrong category for some of these transactions but I don't see what I have done wrong.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!! TIA!
I commend you for taking the initiative to compare your bank statement with your QuickBooks reconciliation report. You've identified missing transactions in QuickBooks Online, OCHS67. Let's address this effectively by following a straightforward process to resolve these discrepancies.
First and foremost, when reconciling in QuickBooks Online, validating the opening balance is crucial. An incorrect opening balance can disrupt all subsequent reconciliations. Confirm that the beginning balance aligns with your bank statement for the corresponding start date each time you reconcile.
To ensure the beginning balance is correct, follow these steps:

Once you've ensured the opening balance is correct, review your transaction register in QuickBooks Online. Verify that all transactions are entered and categorized correctly. If you find any missing transactions, manually add them.
If you find a transaction incorrectly categorized, you can edit it and choose the correct category. Also, ensure your bank feed has imported all transactions into QuickBooks Online.
