The new banking page design is TERRIBLE. It does not show separately bank balance and QB balance anymore. Bring old design back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello there, @mortonmill

We have improved the features on the Banking page. Thus, we're unable to bring the old design back.

I understand the significance of having this feature for your business. Please know I hear your sentiments, so I'll make sure to take note of this.

For your second concern, these are the possible factors why the Banking tab doesn't display bank and QB balances separately:

  • You may be viewing the program in Business view
  • The browser is full of frequently accessed page resources.

First, be sure you've switched to the Accountant view from the Business view to help fix this. Just go to the Gear (⚙) icon at the upper right to change the settings.

Here's a sample screenshot of the comparison between the two views on the Banking page:

If the same thing happens, I'd suggest logging into your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account via an incognito window. It doesn't store data in the cache, so it's a great way to isolate browser-related issues. Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + P

From there, go back to the Banking page to see if the bank and QB balances are showing up separately (view the screenshot below). If yes, let's clear your browser's cache to have a clean slate, so it'll function efficiently. If not, use other supported web engines to get the best and most secure experience with the program.

For the time being, I recommend visiting our QBO Blog to learn more about our product enhancements.

Lastly, I'd suggest reading the topics in this link to get further help with bank feeds and reconciling accounts: Help Articles.

Don't hesitate to leave a comment below if you need further assistance. I'll gladly help. Keep safe always.

I have this issue with one QBO account and not the other.  I am in accountant view on both accounts. The tiles are not available on one account and I have to click on a down arrow to see the bank accounts on the other.  This is a horrific layout.  What is the solution?  I called QuickBooks and was told the page could not be changed or customized.  Please help!!

Thank you for your prompt response, @pbb2.
