Join nowA transaction recorded twice. I was able to delete one, which reconciled the month. However, the one that I couldn't delete has not actually been assigned to an account, so my Balance Sheet is off. I cannot change or delete the transaction, everytime I try, QB says I have committed a fatal error and shuts down. Specifically it says /This is QuickBooks configuration File. It exists while users are connected..// to a company file. Do not delete this file yourself. QuickBooks may not..// operate correctly IF you manually delete this file...[NetConnect]..EngineName=QB_data_engine_31..FilePath=c:\users\public\documents\intuit\quickbooks\company files\enduring treasure ministries, inc..qbw..ServerMode=2..FileConnectionGuid=1e3fc47b1c4d42be8b664fc75e4db9a0.....
Update, I tried to backup the file, and it would however there were errors. When QB came back on, the errors were fixed, and the transaction I wanted to delete was gone! I had to manually write a check to fix (since I had deleted the correct transaction), but every thing works now.
