Turn off predictions for transactions

For the record, Quickbooks, this isn't exclusive to self-employed as I also hate this feature and waste a LOT of time correcting the automatic changes. I'm the only person who works for my non-profit and my time needs to be spent doing literally anything else, but this eats up so much time. Absolutely absurd that this hasn't been addressed in over 3 years.

Turn off predictions for transactions

Unbelievable incompetence in not addressing this problem. It is not a "feature" it is a bug. After 3 years it is still consistently WRONG in its predictions and easy to miss a  the program inserting misinformation into an official ledger.

WHY IS THIS NOT BEING FIXED????  WE JUST NEED AN OFF BUTTON!!!!

Turn off predictions for transactions

I understand how it feels when the option to disable a feature is unavailable, @JJKineman.

Currently, we haven't yet received any updates about when the prediction feature will have the option to be disabled. Rest assured that our Product Engineers are well-notified and are working nonstop to meet your business needs.

I'll take note of your experience and make sure they'll get to receive all your feedback so you can find a solution as soon as possible. I also recommend submitting feedback within your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account. This way, our Product Developers will be notified to better improve your experience while using the program.

To send your input, here's how:

  1. In your QBSE account, click on Assistant.
  2. Type in submit feedback.
  3. Choose the Feature request option from the prompts.
  4. Once ready, hit Submit.

In the meantime, you can manually edit the transactions and assign them to the correct categories.

Moreover, I'll also share this link where you can browse for articles which can guide you in managing your QuickBooks account: QuickBooks Self-Employed Help Articles.

Feel free to leave a reply if you require further assistance. The Community team always has your back. Have a good one.

Turn off predictions for transactions

I am a QB Pro Advisor using QBO Accountant. When I need to choose the correct Category (i.e Expense account) from a downloaded transaction QBO does not provide a drop down of all my account choices. I get a choice of the incorrect account or the option to create a new one.

This is a ridiculous and unnecessary burden; Intuit should fix this immediately. Forget Beta Testing. It is bad bad bad.

Turn off predictions for transactions

This thread has now been open for over 3 YEARS and still QBO hasn't turned the crappy incorrect feature off. It never predicts anything correctly, and in fact confuses my bookkeeper who thinks the system must be correct.

Please remove this shabby algorithm from the software or get some decent coders.
