This is a feature that has worked perfectly for years... I am unable to record merchant service activity in QB Desktop Pro 2022. My processor is Intuit QuickBooks Payments. When I select "Make merchant service deposits" in QB, the normal window appears with a spinning icon and the message "Please wait. We're matching your deposits to QuickBooks Desktop records." And that's it. the cursor will spin, nothing downloads, for as long as my patience last (usually about half an hour). This process historically takes less than a minute.
I've checked for QB updates, I've checked for Windows updates, my 'net connection is stellar, all other functions on my computer are working normally, I downloaded and ran through the QB file repair tool and no problems were found. But I can't get past that spinning cursor!
Anyone experienced this before? Solutions?

Resolved by uninstalling QB software and reinstalling. Unknown why this was effective, but I'm functional now.
Update: I tried restoring a backup company file from early September. Problem persists.
Hi there, Desert Publications.
Welcome to the QuickBooks Community.
I appreciate you for performing some steps to fix the spinning icon that appears on the Merchant Service Deposits section. With this, I'll be sharing steps to ensure you can handle and deposits the payments on the merchant service activity.
To start with, I recommend turning off automatic matching so QuickBooks deposits and records customer payments for you.
Here's how:
Once done, try re-launching Merchant Service deposits to see if this work already without an error message.
If the issue persists, you'll have to link the same merchant account to a test/blank data file in QBDT. Then, launching Merchant Service deposit again. If it works, switch back to the original data file and start utilizing the MSD section.
If the details didn't work, you'll need to clear your browser's cache or history. In addition, your systems may need to be restarted.
If the issue persists, I suggest contacting our Merchants Services Support Team. This team is the best resource for such inquiries, as they're able to request account information. They can also verify the cause of the spinning icon and resolve it as soon as possible so you get back on track.
Lastly, you may refer to this article to view details on how you can record missing deposits or fees: Automatically record QuickBooks Payments bank deposits in QuickBooks Desktop.

Oddly, I have the same issue and it seemed to have started the same time as yours. I never had an issue with downloading merchant deposits either. But I continue to get the spinning cursor. Everything else seems to work fine, but for some reason that function is messed up now. I've had automatic updates turned on since installing desktop 2022 late spring. I can tell you the spinning cursor goes on forever! I've let it go on for 2 days and nothing....
Thank you for joining here and sharing your experiences, shangrila.
