Buy nowMy clients savings account register shows some automatically recorded deposit transactions into undeposited funds. These transactions have been recorded in the checking account as a deposit and the account has been reconciled with no differences. The savings account QB Total is overstated by a considerable amount due to this? My client does not go into QB to accept the payment she just lets them come into the bank feed. What is the correct way to handle these transactions in the savings account?
Hi there, @ttloper5.
Let me share some information on how to handle your undeposited funds from your savings account.
Since you've deposited the undeposited funds to your checking account and reconciled it, you'll need to undo the reconciliation. This way, you can deposit the undeposited funds into your saving account.
To undo the reconciliation, you can do it individually. However, you can also reach out to your accountant who uses QuickBooks Online Accountant to undo the entire reconciliation.
After unreconciling the transactions, you can now deposit the funds to your saving account.
In addition, I suggest seeking help from your accountant for other options on how to handle these transactions based on your recording practices.
Once you're ready to reconcile your saving account, you can check out this article for more guidance: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online. This will help make sure your QuickBooks transactions match your bank statements.

I don't think I explained the problem well. I will include a pic below. These transactions are system-recorded in the savings account register, they did not come into the bank feed for the savings account so I didn't categorize them this way.
This is not where they should be...they were actually deposits into the checking account. They are reflected in the checking account register, and were categorized correctly in the bank feed for the checking account.
This leads to the savings account being overstated, shown in the pic included. So I'm trying to figure out why this is happening and if it's something I did or how to handle this going forward. Also, is it appropriate to just delete those transactions from the savings account register.
Thanks for the clarification, and I understand the urgency to fix this concern, @ttloper5. I can route you to the right support who can view your account and provide the information you need to resolve this matter.
