Uploading CSV bank file

I downloaded a CSV file from the bank to upload into QB. However, there is only one date field to map in - I would like to show both the transaction date and the posted dates. Is there a way to do this? Thanks!

Uploading CSV bank file

It's great to have you here in the Community, Lisa. I'll share some information so you can download your CSV file correctly to QuickBooks.

When downloading data to QuickBooks Online (QBO). Your CSV file should include the following fields, Date, Description, and Amount. Bear in mind that only standard date formats are accepted.

You can modify your file to include a description with both posted and transaction dates. Just make sure the Date field is in a standard format (e.g., dd/MM/yyyy).

Moreover, make sure to select the correct columns during the mapping stage, as QuickBooks cannot interpret the data otherwise. You may consider the following steps to simplify the process:

  1. Download and view your CSV file.
  2. Click details under "Description."
  3. Modify by adding Posted and Transaction dates.
  4. Save and upload the transaction.
