Using iPad to upload bank statements

I am new to quickbooks. I am using my iPad and the online quickbooks. I can’t seem to upload my bank statements in ‘manual upload transactions’. My business bank account does not support quickbooks for the moment so I need to manually upload the bank statements. I have been using GoodReader and I have tried pages with iPad but it won’t allow me to select the statements for upload. Are there any good apple apps for the iPad that could solve this and transfer the files to CSV, text etc to make them selectable and then uploadable?

thanks

Anthony

Using iPad to upload bank statements

Utilize MT Online as a workaround. It is designed to import into any bank or credit card in QuickBooks Online, so there is no specific setting needed.

Hi Ants1d,

Aside from the suggestion by Fiat Lux - ASIA, you can visit our Apps page, which has list of application that can convert your file to CSV.

Once converted, ensure that you have set up the correct format. Afterward, you're good to upload the transactions.

Let me walk you through the steps:

  1. From the Banking tab, select Banking.
  2. Click the Link account drop-down, select Upload from file.
  3. Click Drag and drop or select files.
  4. Select the file.
  5. Click Open.
  6. In the QuickBooks account dropdown, select the account you want to upload the transactions into.
  7. Select Continue.
  8. Follow the onscreen steps to match the columns on the file.
  9. Click Continue.
  10. Select the transactions you would like to import. Then select Continue.
  11. Click Yes
  12. Select Done.

From there, you can match and categorize them. These references will helo you achieve this task:

You can always get back to this thread whenever you have concerns in categorizing transactions.

Appreciate the update, @Ants1d.

I'll share insights about how app integrations work in QuickBooks Online (QBO) so you can upload your transactions accordingly.

Yes, you've got several options to choose from in any of our third-party applications to integrate with. This way, you're able to convert your bank statement to a CSV file format and upload the file. I'll show you how to choose an app.

  1. Go to Apps.
  2. Select Find Apps.
  3. Enter Convert transactions to CSV file in the Search address.
  4. Click Get App Now.

Now that you're to use our apps and convert your bank statement, you can log in to any of our supported browser versions and use this reference for guidance for all QBO features to use: Help Articles in QuickBooks Online. Also, you're able to read subtopics that will describe how a feature is used and how to accomplish tasks related to its functions.

Let me know in the comments below if you have other questions aside from working with applications in QuickBooks. Use the Reply option below to leave a comment and don't forget to include my name, @JonpriL. Take care always, @Ants1d!
