Using QB online on Safari (Catalina 10.15.7 (19H2). Often the program freezes on me and I have to force close and re-start. biggest issue is when reconcile account

I am uptodate on all updates on safari and Mac. When I try to reconcile an account I get white screen and nothing else can be done. complete freeze and I have to restart QB.

QuickBooks Online is currently supporting Safari 11 or newer (Mac only) browser for best experience. To avoid browser issues, you'll want to use the following supported browsers:

 

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox. Note: To preview and print forms on Mac OS, you'll also need the Firefox PDF plugin.
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Safari 11 or newer (Mac only)

To check if your current browser is compatible, you can use the browser health checkup tool. You can also read this article for more information: System requirements for QuickBooks Online.

 

If you're still getting the same result on a supported browser, you can do some troubleshooting steps. The instructions are included in this article: Troubleshooting browser problems.

Hi there. I am using Safari Version 14.0 (15610.1.28.1.9, 15610) on Catalina 10.15.7. I am not using the "app" I am using the QB online. the QB app DOES NOT save my credentials.... VERY annoying. the biggest issue is when QB freezes on me when I go to "reconcile" an account. any other ideas? Thanks

FYI, I just wanted to create an invoice and froze up again. I have cleared all cash and history.

It's great that you're able to clear the cache. Also, it seems that you're using a supported operating system for Mac.

 

You'll want to reach out to our Customer Support Team so they can further check it and see what's causing this behavior. The new "Help" menu interface:

  1. Click the (?) Help icon and choose the Talk to a human option (then type it again when prompted).
  2. When asked by the bot, type "Safari froze."
  3. Select I still need a human.
  4. Proceed with Contact us.
  5. Click Let’s talk then choose either Get a call or Start messaging

For the old "Help" menu:

  1. Click the Help icon and click the Contact Us button.
  2. Type "Safari froze" in the What can we help you with box.
  3. Proceed with the Let's talk button.
  4. Select either Start messaging or Get a call button.
