Venmo only sees my personal account. How do I get it to download only my business transactions?

Hello there, n-howard.

For now, Venmo only connects personal accounts in QuickBooks Online. We only depend on your bank on what they allow us to link with our program. Since it isn't supported yet, I recommend contacting your financial institution to submit a request to connect your business account.

Alternatively, we can manually upload your business account data. Log in to your bank website and get your business transactions using a CSV file. Once done, we can follow the steps below to bring them into QuickBooks.

  1. Go to the Bookkeeping or Transactions menu.
  2. Within the Banking tab, click Upload transactions.
  3. Select Drag and drop or select files and select the file you downloaded from your bank. Then select Continue.
  4. In the QuickBooks account ▼  dropdown, select the account you want to upload the transactions into. Then select Continue.

For the information and steps on importing bank data, we can visit this article: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

Let's keep your bank data accurate from time to time. With that, we have to review and reconcile your accounts in QuickBooks. The articles below will serve as your guide.

If you have more concerns about connecting accounts and handling transactions, please know that I'm here to help you. Take care and stay safe.
